Hero Ignitor

Hero Ignitor
The Ignitor was launched in 2012  just after the company was rechristened to Hero MotoCorp. The Ignitor & its twin, the CBF Stunner are a part of the competitive 125cc segment, though the former manages to edge ahead in terms of styling, owing to the host of cosmetic updates.

Cosmetic updates like the redesigned body panels, front cowl new graphics & body-coloured rear-view mirror set the Ignitor apart from the Stunner. The bike also gets a digital analogue instrument console. Despite the styling, Ignitor is an outright commuter bike. The upright seating position coupled with its light weight make the Ignitor agile & fun to ride in urban stop - go traffic.

The Ignitor is powered by the same air cooled, four stroke 124.7 cc SOHC engine which produces 11bhp & 11Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a five speed constant mesh gearbox. Hero offers the Ignitor with optional disc brakes at the front while the rear wheels only get standard drums.

The Ignitor is offered in five colour schemes- vibrant blue, sports red, pearl white, panther black metallic & flaming orange.

Priced at Rs 60,200 for the disc & Rs 58,200 for the drum variant, the Ignitor goes up against other 125cc commuter bikes like the Honda CBF Stunner, Suzuki Slingshot Plus,  Yamaha SS 125 & Bajaj Pulsar 135LS.
