The CBZ went on to create a huge fan base.
Hero added the Xtreme name to the CBZ in 2007. After their split with Honda, Hero
Moto-corp renamed the CBZ Xtreme to just Xtreme.
The Xtreme is targeted at the youth looking for a motorcycle combined with power & styling. The bike with a fuel tank of 12.1 litre capacity has a kerb weight of 149kg. It gets a 240mm disc at the front as standard while an optional 220mm disc at the rear. It is offered with five-years / 70,000 kms vehicle warranty & three-years/30,000 kms emission warranty.
The motorcycle is powered by an air-cooled 149.2cc single cylinder engine which produces 14.4bhp of power at 8,500rpm & 12.8Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. This is mated to a five speed gearbox.The Hero Moto-Corp Xtreme competes with the Bajaj Pulsar 150, the Yamaha FZ, the Honda Unicorn.
