Hero Impulse

Hero introduced the Hero Impulse in late 2008 & it was the first affordable dual sport to be available in the Indian market. Oriented towards those who choose to take the path less trodden the Impulse from first glance looks to play the part. It gets a 90 / 90 x 19 52P MRF Zappers in the front and 110 / 90 x 17 60P rear tyres which is also MRF Zapper. The upright seating position & high front mud guard all contribute to the butch appearance of the motorcycle.

It gets an analogue RPM & digital speedometer combination which is directly attached to the front cowl. Along with the usual bells & whistles, the digital section also contains the fuel gauge, trip metre & a clock for easy reference. Other standard features include electric start, front disc brake & rear swing arm with Nitrox mono suspension.

It is powered by an air cooled 149cc single-cylinder mill that produces 13bhp & 13Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a chain-drive & a five-speed sequential transmission. The Hero Impulse is currently a niche motorcycle in the Indian market.
